iST Track Sensor - Passage Detect:

iST sensors are immune to any source of interference: electromagnetic, optical, environmental.
Must be placed under the track, there is no need of infrared or incandescent lamps.
Of course, if you want you can put a bridge over the sensors, but only for aesthetic or diorama reasons.

Sensors aren't related to the type and brand of the track.
The sensor detects the passage of slot cars with a chassis of any color (even transparent).

iST sensors are installed under the track by drilling a rectangular hole of about 5x10 mm, usually are fixed with adhesive tape.
